Abstract

974,055. Railings. WAVIN PIPES Ltd. Oct. 25, 1963 [Nov. 1, 1962], No. 41324/62. Heading E1V. Railing comprises horizontal rails 1, each supported intermediate its length and at its ends in sleeves 2, 4 fitted on posts 3, 5, each of the components being made of P.V.C. and the posts being fitted over spikes 9 driven into the ground. The sleeves 4 are formed with a central internal abutment against which an end of each rail 1 bears, the posts being force fits in the sockets 7, 8 of the sleeves and optionally secured with a cement. A second set of rails 1a on sleeves 2a, 4a may be provided.
