688,363. Unwinding. SCHULER AKT.- GES., L. Oct. 19, 1951 [Oct. 24, 1950], No. 24456/51. Class 83 (iv). Straightening.-In a transportable apparatus for unwinding and straightening strip, the reel 1 is rolled up a pivoted ramp 22 and positioned on support rolls 14. The strip is drawn through a roller straightener 5 by feed rolls 6 actuated by an electromotor 16 and controlled by a loop roll 24, and formed into a loop 17 curved in the unwinding direction and a reversely curved loop 19. The strip is fed to a press &c. 3 with a table 21 mating with a table 20 on which the strip is supported.
