A tubular member 1 formed with a flange 2, a screw-thread 3 and a coned end 4, is passed through a hole in a bulkhead or deck 8 which is clamped between the flange 2 and nuts 6. A flange 5 having a coned surface to engage the cone 4 is then screwed on to the thread 3. Flanged pipes may be connected to the flange 5 and a flange 7.
