Abstract

685,060. Road spraying apparatus. BRISTOWES MACHINERY, Ltd., RHODES, C. DE L'H., LITTLE, J. E., and KURTZ, F. W. Nov. 27, 1950 [Nov. 28, 1949], No. 30427/49. Class 107 A road surface material spraying machine having a pressurized tank 13 has means for obtaining a continuous circulation of the material in the spraybar 11. The material is fed by air pressure from a compressor 18 to one end of spraybar 11 incorporating nozzles 14 as disclosed in Specification 669,681, [Group XXIX], and the other end of the bar has a return pipe 12b equipped with a circulating pump 19 operated by the air pressure. The nozzles and pump are interconnected by linkwork 16, 17, 22 and valve 21 so that the pump increases speed when the nozzles are shut.
