Classes 99 (i) and 99 (ii) [Also in Group XXIX] A pipe manifold comprises a pair of parallel pipes 1 united by webs 2 and having T-junctions 4 terminating in orifices 12 movable relatively to the pipes 1 for connection to the inlet or outlet of a device 7 through or into which fluid is to be passed e.g. a gas meter, pump, or mixing device, the ends of the pipes 1 being adapted for engaging either a pipe circuit or removable end caps. As shown, the ends 16, 17 are secured for connection respectively to gas service and installation pipes, the corresponding junctions 4 being connected to the inlet and outlet bosses 5, 6, of a gas meter 7 which stands on a platform 15 supported by rods 13 from the webs 2. The other ends of the pipes 1 are closed by removable caps 18. Each junction 4 comprises a stop-cock 9 secured to a boss 8 on the pipe 1, and a hollow body 10 secured by a self-aligning union 11 to the cock 9 and carrying an orificed union 12 for connection to the bosses 5, 6, the body 10 being rotatable about the axis of the stop-cock 9. A junction 19 fitted with a stop-cock enables the meter to be by-passed. In a modification the webs 2 are each provided with more than one slot 3 to accommodate different spacings of the rods 13.
