Abstract

683,202. Injectors. LATASTE, B. Nov. 5 1948 [Nov. 12, 1947], No. 28745/48. Class 71. Fire-fighting apparatus for projecting a mixture of air and gas and a liquid or gaseous extinguishing medium on to a fire comprises a nozzle 1 from which the extinguishing medium is discharged into a plurality of frusto-conical injectors 2, 2<SP>1</SP>, 2<SP>2</SP>, 2n of progressively increasing diameter, the injector 2n being integral with a discharge tube 3. The surfaces of the injectors and a conical portion 6 of the tube 3 are at about 22 degrees to their axis. The nozzle 1 may be axially adjustable. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91, comprises also a construction in which a blower 5 forces gas past a nozzle 4 supplied with a liquid, gaseous or powdered fire-extinguishing medium and past a baffle 2. This subjectmatter does not appear in the Specification as accepted. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specifications 2582/08 and 651/12, [both in Class 71]
