Abstract

682,726. Ventilators. FENTON, H. F. Aug. 9,1951 [Aug. 28, 1950], No. 21191/50. Class 137 A ventilator for insertion in a circular opening in a panel, window pane, or the like, comprises two rings A, B, at least one of which is formed during moulding, with a series of louvres B<SP>3</SP>, and a flap valve H which is pivoted at G to a plate F screwed to lugs E on the ring B, the two rings being provided with strengthening ribs B<SP>4</SP> and central bosses A<SP>5</SP>, B<SP>5</SP> for bolting them together so that they engage opposite faces of the panel around the opening. The opening movement of the flap H is limited by stops F<SP>3</SP>, H<SP>2</SP>, a catch J' on a handle J engaging one of the louvres to hold the flap closed. When louvres are provided on each ring they are arranged to lie in identical planes.
