Abstract
681,479. Making foam. MINIMAX AKT.-GES. Feb. 23, 1950 [Feb. 24, 1949], No: 4691/50. Class 47(ii) In the production of air-foam, foam liquid fed to a distributer 8 passes to injector nozzles 14 arranged around the axis of the distributer and air is drawn through inlets 15 to form foam which passes along tubes 20 to a common outlet pipe 23. The nozzles 14 are each provided with a core 15 which may be solid or in the form of a pipe to supply further air. The apparatus is intended primarily for supplying foam to storage tanks for inflammable liquids and is arranged at ground level and connected by pipes to the top of the tank.
