Abstract

681,442. End stop-gears. KING, D. M. Nov. 8, 1950. [Nov. 23, 1949] No. 30051/49. Class 78 (v). The switch controlling the driving motor of a hoist is actuated at the end of the run by a striker plate 22 fixed on the hoisting chain 10 coming into contact with a ring 21 mounted on the lower end of a spring 20 which is suspended from a pair of pivoted arms 16 linked to the operating arm 14 of the switch. The chain passes freely through the spring which preferably is enclosed within a cover 23 of canvas or rubber. A stop 25 limits the downward movement of the arms 16.
