Abstract
679,920. Step-by-step conveyers. DRAGO, G. G., KORACH, and BATTISTIN, F. July 18, 1949. [July 17, 1948] No. 18829/49. Class 78 (i). The walking beam 61 is given a longitudinal movement by connecting rod 72 of differential piston 71 and a vertical movement by rams 52, the latter being controlled by valves 6 operated through connecting rod 46 by differential piston 20. The pistons 20 and 71 are controlled by distributor valves 2 and 8, the rods 45 and 39 of which are respectively operated by connecting rod 46 and rotating cam 34 connected by linkage 3, 44, 43 and 411 and by connecting rod 72 and rotating cam 33<SP>1</SP> connected by linkage 38, 9, 37 and 36, the said cams and the pumps 13 for supplying fluid pressure being driven by motor 20. The walking beams may be operated singly or in adjacent or crossed pairs, and they may be arcuate.
