Abstract

678,883. Bottles: &c. stoppers. MILL, A. G. May 28, 1951 [July 14, 1950], No. 17646/50. Classes 66, 125(i) and 125(iii). A bottle 10 or other container has a drip retaining device comprising a neck 11 and surrounding walls 12, 15 forming two troughs 13, 16. Holes 14, 17 allow liquid to drain from either trough but are oppositely disposed so that any liquid issuing from the hole 14 and forming drips is drained back via the hole 17. The container may be of metal and the device may be made separately and be screwed or otherwise attached to the container's neck. A screw cap 20, Fig. 3, screws on a lip 18 and has an abutment 23 which seats on the outer wall 12. Fig. 1.
