Abstract

781,685. Spouts for portable containers. CONTINENTAL CAN CO., Inc. Jan. 30, 1956 [April 22, 1955], No. 2978/56. Class 66. A metal top 6 for a container is formed with a tubular neck 12 into which a plastic nozzle 8 is pushed from below until a bottom flange 10 on the nozzle abuts the underside of said top 6, the nozzle 8 having an upper inturned edge 13 and being held against rotation by a plurality of circumferentially spaced indentations 15 in the neck 12. The top of the nozzle 8 is threaded to take a screw cap. The nozzle may have a recess 16 to accommodate the inturned edge 13.
