678,277. Securing bearing races on shafts. USINES TORNOS FABRIQUE DE MACHINES MAUTIER SOC. ANON. March 28, 1949 [April 12, 1948], No. 8391/49. Class 80 (ii). [Also in Group XXXIV] The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91, comprises an arrangement wherein an inner bearing race 8 is secured to a shaft 12 by means of an intermediate split sleeve 14. The sleeve 14 has an external conical portion engaging a conical bore in the race 8 at one end, and tightening is effected by a nut 16 screwed on the sleeve 14 and engaging the other end of the race 8. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
