Abstract

491,321. Washers. HIGGINS, J. L. March 5, 1937, No. 6605. [Class 89 (i)] In a washer comprising two parallel parts A, B separated by one or more rings of steel balls E in races F, the two parts A, B are secured together by means of a central collar C which is attached to or formed integrally with one part A and which engages the other part B in such a manner as to permit relative rotation of the two parts without permitting relative axial movement. The collar C may be welded to the part A. One or both ends of the collar may be turned or pressed over, as at G, to occupy corresponding chamfers D on the parts A, B.
