Abstract
866,836. Securing ball races on shafts. BERGERMANN, G. July 7, 1958 [July 16, 1957], No. 21671/58. Class 80 (2). [Also in Group XXV] An inner ball race 2 is secured to a coned sleeve 3 on a shaft 14 by a U-sectioned circular nut 6 locked by a ring 7 having an internal lug 15 which engages a longitudinal slot 5 in the sleeve 3 and an external lug 8 which is bent over as shown to engage one of a series of recesses 12 in the peripheral portion of the nut. If desired the ring 7 may have more than one external lug.
