Abstract
157,937. Sandberg, J. T. Dec. 6, 1919, [Convention date]. Securing bearings on shafts.-The inner racering 2 is rigidly secured to a shaft by nuts 7, 8 engaging a double conical sleeve 9 on the shaft 4, and threaded into a cylindrical sleeve 6 engaging the race-ring. Alternatively, the sleeves may be arranged as shown in the lower half of the Figure. In a modification, the cylindrical sleeve is made in one piece with one of the nuts, or the conical sleeve may be made in one piece with one of the nuts. The sleeves may be split.
