Abstract
302,230. Krupp Germaniawerft Akt.- Ges., F. Dec. 12, 1927, [Convention date]. Securing bearings on crank shafts.-A rolling friction bearing E capable of being threaded on to a multiple-throw crank shaft A is mounted on the latter by half rings b<1>, b<2>, the half ring b<1> being bolted by screws c<1> to the crank-web C and the half ring b<2> being secured by screws d<1> to a horse-shoe shaped member D. The latter is fixed to the crank-web C by screws d<2> and grooves and feathers d<3>. After removal of the screws c<1>, d<1>, and the ring parts b<1>, b<2>, the bearing can be threaded over the shaft.
