Abstract
678,193. Textile spinning spindles. SOC. DES ETABLISSEMENTS A. DESGRANGES & CIE SOC. ANON. Sept. 19, 1950 [Sept. 23, 1949], No. 22968/50. Class 120(ii) A ring spinning spindle of the kind on which yarn is intended to make several turns before passing to a traveller has a slightly enlarged tip and, at the tip, two oppositely disposed flat surfaces which converge towards the end of the tip and over one of which the yarn is fed, the projection of the enlarged tip being slight. Yarn n, passing from drawing rollers b, c, is led through a thread guide d, located immediately above the nose portion e of the spindle g, and over a flat surface e<SP>1</SP> on the enlarged tip of the nose portion e, then round the portion e to the traveller f and bobbin h. The thread guide d may be of the pig-tail kind and is preferably made of piano wire having a diameter of approximately 1 m.m.
