Abstract

678,078. Machine guns. BREVETS AEROMECHANIQUES SOC. ANON. June 9, 1949. [June 19, 1948] No. 11457/51. Divided out of 678,000. Class 92 (ii). Anti-friction means is provided for counteracting the turning reaction on a sliding non-circular breech block when the block actuates an auxiliary mechanism such as that used for cartridge feed. As shown, the breech block 5 carries a roller 22 engaging a cartridge belt feed-lever 17 as described in Specification 678,000. Fig. 6 shows a pair of additional rollers 23 arranged on the axis of roller 22 to engage a guide rail 24 fast with the breech casing 3. Fig. 3 of the abridgement of Specification 678,000 illustrates a modification with a single additional roller 23. Fig. 7 shows an additional roller 23 arranged at the side of the roller 22.
