Description

  • - einen Verschluss, der aus einer hintersten in eine vorderste Stellung verschiebbar ist;
  • - einen Patronenzuführkanal, der eine Seitenwand aufweist;
  • - einen zur Waffenachse parallelen Schlitz, der sich in dieser Seitenwand befindet und in den eine im Patronenzuführkanal befindliche, durch den Verschluss in das Waffenrohr einzuschiebende Patrone teilweise hineinragt;
  • - Mittel zum Zuführen der Patrone zum Schlitz und zum Halten der Patrone, sodass sie teilweise in den Schlitz hineinragt, wenn sie zum Einschieben ins Waffenrohr durch den Verschluss bereit ist;
The invention relates to a cartridge feeding device on an automatic firearm with a weapon barrel, comprising:
  • - A closure that can be moved from a rearmost position to a forwardmost position;
  • - a cartridge feed channel having a side wall;
  • - A slot parallel to the weapon axis, which is located in this side wall and into which a cartridge located in the cartridge feed channel, which can be inserted through the breech into the gun barrel, partially protrudes;
  • Means for feeding the cartridge to the slot and for holding the cartridge so that it partially projects into the slot when it is ready to be inserted into the weapon barrel through the breech;
  • - A pivoting insertion lever for moving the cartridge until it partially protrudes into the slot.

In a known cartridge supply device of this type (see CH-PS 579 763, DE-PS 2 521 034, US-PS 3 973 467), a delivery channel is provided, the side wall of which has a slot parallel to the weapon axis, into which a located in the delivery channel through the Part of the cartridge to be inserted into the weapon barrel protrudes. Two guide arms of the feed means press the said cartridge against the slot perpendicular to the conveying direction by means of a spring. On the sides of the guide arms opposite the cartridge, a pivotable pawl is arranged which has a cam with a control surface which serves to actuate the pawl. Through this pawl, the guide arms are positioned during the insertion of the cartridge.

This known device has the following disadvantage. Very little time is available to feed the cartridge into the slot mentioned. The cartridge can only be inserted into this slot when the breech is in the area of its rearmost position, because only as long as the breech is behind the cartridge can the cartridge be inserted into the slot in such a way that it is reliably gripped by the breech head and in the gun barrel can be inserted. However, the greater the cadence of the firearm, the shorter the time available to bring the cartridge into the desired position. It is therefore no longer sufficient for two guide arms to press the cartridge against the slot mentioned perpendicularly to the conveying direction by means of a spring. The acceleration forces required to move the cartridge in such a short time are so great that even a strong spring is no longer sufficient.

The invention solves the problem of creating a device which works for feeding the cartridge to the slot, from which it can be inserted into the weapon barrel through the breech, without the spring force mentioned.

  • - dass der schwenkbare Einlegehebel zwei Arme aufweist;
  • - dass der Verschluss eine Steuerkurve zum Verschwenken des Einlegehebels aufweist;
  • - dass der eine Arm des Einlegehebels sich auf der Steuerkurve des Verschlusses abstützt;
  • - dass der andere Arm des Einlegehebels sich auf dem hinteren Ende der Patrone abstützt;
The device with which this object is achieved is characterized in that
  • - That the pivoting insertion lever has two arms;
  • - That the closure has a control curve for pivoting the insertion lever;
  • - That the one arm of the insertion lever is supported on the control curve of the closure;
  • - that the other arm of the insertion lever is supported on the rear end of the cartridge;
  • - That the insertion lever is pivotally mounted about an axis on the cartridge feed channel; and
  • - That the shape of the control cam is chosen so that the insertion lever in the rearmost position of the closure with one arm presses the cartridge partially into the slot in the side wall.

This device has the advantage that the cartridge is forced into the slot by the insertion lever when the breech is retracted and is reliably in the correct position as soon as the cartridge is inserted into the weapon barrel through the edge of the breech.

A two-armed insertion lever is described in US Pat. No. 2,875,671, but the cartridge is supported on its one arm with its front end. A control cam serves to actuate this one arm. The other arm is loaded exclusively by a spring. The insertion lever cannot prevent the cartridge from sliding off the side. The control cam is not arranged on the breech, but is connected to the retractable weapon barrel.

Der Einlegehebel ist aber nicht in der Lage, dieses Abgleiten zu verhindern, da er nicht am hinteren Ende der Patrone, d.h. im Bereich des Hülsenbodens, angreift.US-A-2 529 822 also describes an insertion lever which has two arms, one arm of which deflects the cartridge and the other arm is pivoted by the control curve of the closure. With this device in particular, there is a particularly great risk that the cartridge will slide off the breech when the cartridge is inserted through the breech into the weapon barrel. However, the insertion lever is not able to prevent this sliding off, since it is not at the rear end of the cartridge, i.e. in the area of the sleeve base.

In CH-A-253 497 a cartridge feeding device is described in which the control surface of the closure is a control curve which allows the movements to be mutually dependent. However, there is no special insertion lever.

No. 2,486,878 also describes a cartridge feeder device which has a pivotable insertion lever which, however, is only loaded by a spring, so that when a cartridge is inserted into the weapon barrel through the breech there is a risk that the spring is too weak and the cartridge slides off the cap.

The feed means preferably have a rear pawl which backs the cartridge as soon as it is inserted into the slot by the insertion lever.

  • Fig. 1 einen Längsschnitt durch einen Teil einer Feuerwaffe;
  • Fig. 4 eine Ansicht in Richtung des Pfeiles A in Fig. 3.
An embodiment of the cartridge feeding device according to the invention is described in detail below with reference to the accompanying drawing. It shows:
  • 1 shows a longitudinal section through part of a firearm.
  • Fig. 2 the same longitudinal section as in Fig. 1, at a different time of the cartridge supply.
  • Fig. 3 is a side view of the device shown in Fig. 2 and
  • 4 is a view in the direction of arrow A in FIG. 3rd

Eine nicht dargestellte Umschaltvorrichtung sorgt dafür, dass immer der eine oder andere Patronenzuführkanal (12, 13) sich in Arbeitsstellung befindet, während gleichzeitig der andere ausgeschwenkt ist.1 and 2, a part of the weapon housing 10 and a part of the weapon barrel 11 are shown of a firearm. Two cartridge feed channels 12 and 13 are pivotably attached to the weapon housing 10 about pins 14. The cartridge feed channel 12 is pivoted out, so that no cartridges of the weapon can be fed from this channel 12. The cartridge feed channel 13, on the other hand, is in the working position, so that the cartridges can be inserted into the gun barrel 11 from this channel 13. The pivoted-out position of the cartridge feed channel 13 is indicated by dash-dotted lines. A switching device (not shown) ensures that one or the other cartridge feed channel (12, 13) is always in the working position while the other is swung out.

A lock 15 is slidably mounted in the weapon housing 10. This closure 15 is shown in Fig. 1 in its rearmost position and in Fig. 2 in its forwardmost position.

The closure 15 has a closure head 16 and a control piece 17 as well as two bolts 18. The control piece 17 is arranged displaceably in the closure head 16. In the foremost position of the breech 15, the control piece 17 protrudes between the two bolts 18 and presses the bolts 18 into recesses 19 in the weapon barrel 11, so that the bolt head 16 is locked in the weapon barrel 11. In the rearmost position of the lock 15, the control piece 17 is behind the bolts 18 and thus the lock head 16 is unlocked. The displacement of the closure 15 is carried out in the usual way by a not shown spring and the gas pressure. The cartridge belts are also conveyed in the cartridge feed channels 12 and 13 in the usual way. Neither is therefore described in more detail here.

When the closure 15 is displaced from its rearmost position to its foremost position (from right to left in FIGS. 1 and 2), the closure 15 abuts with the edge 22 against the bottom 36 of the cartridge 23, which is located in the cartridge feed channel 13 in a slot 35 is a side wall 34 of the cartridge feed channel 13 (Fig. 4). The cartridge axis is inclined with respect to the weapon axis 32 (FIG. 2). The cartridge 23 is deflected at a pawl 24 and pushed into the weapon barrel 11. The cartridge 23 is then ignited by an ignition pin 25 of the control piece 17.

When the cartridge 23 was inserted into the slot 35 (FIG. 4) of the side wall 34 of the cartridge feed channel 13 by a spring, there was a risk in the known devices that the spring was not able to insert the cartridges 23 completely and in time into the slot 35 to push it in, so that during the course of the breech 15 the cartridge 23 slipped off the edge 22 of the breech head and was clamped between the breech 15 and the barrel 11. So far, springs as strong as possible have been used to prevent this slipping. With increasing cadence, however, the time available to push the cartridge 23 into the slot 35 is so short that a spring is no longer able to press the cartridge into the slot reliably and in good time.

According to the invention, therefore, each insertion lever 20 and 21 is mounted on each cartridge feed channel 12 and 13 so as to be pivotable about an axis 26 and one rear pawl 27 about an axis 28. The two-armed insertion lever 20, 21 is supported according to FIG. 1 with its arm 30 on a control edge 29 of the closure head 26. With the other arm 31 of the insertion lever 21, the cartridge 23 is pressed into the slot 35 (FIG. 4). When the closure head 16 is in its rearmost position, the insertion lever 21 is supported with its arm 30 on the highest point of the control curve 29 of the closure head 16. The cartridge 23 is so far by the arm 31 of the insertion lever 21 against the weapon axis 32, d. H. pressed into the slot 35 so that the rear pawl 27 can engage, as can be seen from FIG. 4. A spring 33, which is fastened in a housing on the feed channel 13 (FIG. 1), tends to press the insertion lever 21 with its arm 30 against the control cam 29. By the insertion lever 20 or. 21 thus ensures that the cartridge 23 is fully inserted into the slot 35 and thus has reached the position required for insertion into the weapon barrel 11 before the breech head 16 with its edge 22 against its base 36 against the bottom 36 of the cartridge 23 during its advance bumps. The rear pawl 27 ensures that when the cartridge 23 is inserted into the weapon barrel 11, the cartridge 23 can no longer slide off the edge 22 of the breech head 16.
