Abstract

677,964. Lamp caps; twopart couplings. BRITISH THOMSON-HOUSTON CO., Ltd. Jan. 1, 1951 [Jan. 3, 1950], No. 104/51. Class 38 (i). A plug-type coupling, e.g. a lamp base 11, comprises an insulating body 12 having an end wall 14 which is slotted at 20 to receive U- shaped rigid wire prongs 15 having parallel sides 16 provided with off-set portions 18 and end portions 22 which are inserted, by inwardly springing, in the slots 20, the ends 22 being bent over on to the end wall surface 23 to secure the springs in place. Lead-in wires 4 are brought through notches 25 in the slots 20 and connected to the prongs at 24.
