Abstract

677,608. Non-return valves. BRACHT, A. Jan. 24, 1949 [Jan. 24, 1948], No. 14634/51. Divided out of 677,517. Class 135 [Also in Group XXVIII] A compressor valve mechanism is positioned on a seat 34 formed by the bottom of a recess 14 at the end of a cylinder 1 and comprises a flexible inlet valve 16 having a central aperture 17, held against the seat 34 by a plate 18 having inlet ports 19 communicating with an annular groove 35 which communicates with an inlet duct 10 in the cylinder block. A central outlet port 20 is controlled by a valve 21 shaped as shown in Fig. 6. A washer 22 having a central aperture 38 of larger diameter than the port 20 is mounted on the plate and sealed by a ring 23. The valve assembly is retained in position by the cylinder head.
