Abstract

673,394. Brake operating levers. CROSSLEY MOTORS, Ltd., and RANDLE, F. E. Feb. 7, 1951 [Feb. 15, 1950], No. 3851/50. Class 103 (i). The slot b in which works a brake-operating lever a, is adapted to be closed by a sliding clasp fastener c and the sliding clasp f is secured (by its tag e and a link g) to the lever a so that when the brake is applied, the fastener is opened to the extent to which the lever is moved in the slot but when the brake is released, the fastener is closed and no draught can pass into the driver's compartment except through any space immediately around the lever. If desired two superposed fasteners may be provided, connected one to each side of the lever, so that when the lever is moving in either direction one fastener is being closed and the other opened.
