Abstract
1,102,642. Hooks. W. H. CHEETHAM & SONS Ltd. 2, Aug., 1966 [7, Jan., 1966]. No. 752/66. Heading E2A. A fastener comprises a hook member 10 provided at one end with a hook 12 a sheath 15 fixed to the member with the hook protruding from the sheath, a manually operable latch member 17 slidaibly mounted in the sheath for movement against a spring 19 away from the hook to permit access to the interior of the hook, manually operable means 21 for moving the latch member 17 to its open position, and an attachment means 13, 14 in the hook member or sheath at the end of the fastener opposite the hook. In other arrangements, Figs. 5 - 11 (not shown), the closed hook is substantially circular and the manually operable means 21 is disposed at each side of the sheath.
