Abstract

669,745. Screw propellers. RICHARDSONS, WESTGARTH & CO., Ltd., HUNTER, H., and DORRAT, J. A. March 9. 1950 [Jan. 13, 1949], No. 982/49. Class 114. A marine propeller is constructed by welding metal plates and sections, the blades being formed by welding together the front and back plates 22, 24 at their trailing edges 34 and welding these to a leading edge member 28 at the leading edge. The plates are also welded to root sections integral with the propeller boss so as to merge smoothly into its contour. Specification 664,153 is referred to.
