Abstract

Sublimable iron compounds, e.g. ferric chloride, are removed from vapours containing cyanuric chloride and an iron compound by passage, e.g. at 200-500 DEG C. over or through porous carbon, e.g. gas activated charcoal. The vapours may be obtained in the production of cyanuric chloride from cyanogen chloride in the presence of iron or iron compounds at above 200 DEG C.
