Abstract

The subject-matter of this Specification is substantially the same as that described in Specification 834,421 but the claims are concerned with an oxygen-producing canister for use in breathing-apparatus, the canister containing a chemical which generates oxygen when subjected to carbon dioxide and moisture of the user's breath, the chemical being spaced from the bottom of the canister, an oxygen-producing candle located in the space and manually-operable ignition means for the candle.
