Abstract
666,049. Points for toy railway tracks. FLEISCHMANN, E., and FLEISCHMANN, J., (trading as FLEISCHMANN, GEB.). Sept. 6, 1949 [Oct. 1, 1948], No. 23036/49. Class 132 (iii). Points for electrically-operated toy railways of the two-rail type are characterised in that only the rails of the track set on straight ahead running carry current of unlike polarity, the rails of the other track carrying current of like polarity. In Fig. 1, a lever p attached to a movable tongue d connects the rail b<SP>2</SP> via contact o and crossing c to the rails a<SP>1</SP>, b<SP>1</SP> which thus become of positive polarity. In Fig. 2 (not shown) with the tongue d in the other position rails a<SP>1</SP>, b<SP>1</SP> become of negative polarity. The main and branch lines of the points are electrically isolated from the corresponding lines of the rail system by insulated track pieces h, i. The points may be manually controlled by the lever p or electromagnetic remote control may be embodied.
