Abstract
365,953. Tracks for toy railways. OTTENSTEIN, F., 11, Badstrasse, Nuremberg, Germany. June 4, 1931, No. 16252. Convention date, June 19, 1930. [Class 104 (iii).] In a toy electric railway having central live rails 9, 9a, 9b, Figs. 1 and 2, which, in the case of switches and crossings, are joined to a metal tongue 11 lying between the rails of the track, a metal bow 20 is provided which has slots 21, Fig. 6, for the reception of the live rails and is connected to the tongue by a sleeve 22 and screw 13, the latter also serving as an electrically insulating means for securing the tongue to the substructure 14 lying beneath it. The live rail 9 is connected to the tongue by a horizontal flange 16, Fig. 5, pressed into engagement with the underside of a fishplate 15a formed on the tongue and insulated from the sleeper by a layer 24. The switch is-provided with insulating fitting pieces. 6, 7 of the kind described in Specification . 364,998, [Group XV]. The tongue is insulated from the wheel flanges by a peripheral covering of rubber 12.
