Abstract

665,884. Driving and guiding conveyer chains. FISHER & LUDLOW, Ltd. June 30, 1949. [July 10, 1948] No. 18588/48. Class 78 (i). [Also in Group XXV] A chain of the type described in Specification 639,244, is modified in that one set of rollers 12 are mounted on pins having abutment faces spaced axially of the rollers which are engaged by a driving sprocket wheel. The chain comprises load-carrying rollers 13 and relatively light guiding rollers 12 fitted by means of sleeves 18 to pins 16. Between wearing washers 17 on the outer faces of links 10 of the chain and the sleeves 18 are freely fitted distance sleeves 19 which constitute the said abutment faces. The construction of the chain is otherwise similar to that described in Specifications 665,883, [Group XXV], and 665,887.
