630,944. Endless-chain conveyers. WEBB CO., J. B. Aug. 1, 1947, No. 20959. Convention date, June 10, 1946. [Class 78 (i)] [Also in Group XXIV] A driving arrangement for a conveyer chain D comprises a chain A having projections 10 for engaging the links 18 of chain D. The adjacent ends of the inner links 11 of the chain A have abutting surfaces 24, 25 in order to resist the out-of-centre resisting force acting on the projections 10. The chain A is thus made flexible in one direction only and an even distribution of the thrust on the guide 13 is obtained. Extensions 16a, 16b may also be provided from the shoulders of the projections 10 to overlie the adjacent ends of the links 11.
