Abstract

665,230. Cathode-ray tubes. FERGUSON RADIO CORPORATION, Ltd., and LOCKYER, J. S. July 5, 1950 [July 6, 1949], No. 17917/49. Class 39 (i). Centering of an image on a cathode-ray tube screen is effected by a magnetic ring 21 adjustable in two directions at right angles relative to the axis of an adjacent and fixed magnetic focusing assembly 11 by a single control member 25. The member 25 operates a leadscrew 24 to traverse the ring across an intermediate supporting member 15 and also transversely adjusts the supporting member 15 and ring about a fixed pivot 14 on the magnetic focusing assembly. A bracket 18 resiliently clamps the intermediate member 15 after adjustment against a mounting ring secured to the magnetic focusing assembly.
