Abstract

664,620. Spray-producers. AKTIESELSKABET NIRO ATOMIZER. April 21, 1949 [April 26, 1948], No. 10594/49. Class 69 (iii) Liquid, fed by one or more pipes 6 to a rotating vane wheel, is flung from a cupshaped member 5, and strikes a stationary liquid distribution member 10 comprising a number of stepped blocks 9 arranged in a circle, Fig. 2, and is finally uniformly deflected radially through the space within the vanes by a conical surface 11. Instead of a conical surface 11, air openings 15, Fig. 3, may deflect the liquid radially. Alternatively, circularly spaced, obliquely arranged stepped blocks 17, Fig. 4, are carried by the vane wheel, and the liquid leaves each block at varying levels.
