664,286. De-icing aircraft by electric heating. ROTAX, Ltd. March 10, 1950 [April 11, 1949], No. 9740/49. Class 39(iii) The wing a or other metal skin of an aircraft has on its rear side metal studs c connecting the skin at adjacent points to at least two bus-bars b, so that a current may be passed through the skin for deicing. The studs c are welded to the skin and to a pair of metal strips or perforated aluminium plates b arranged parallel with each other and with the skin to form the bus-bars.
