[Class 39 (iii)] An oven is heated by flat strip resistances I arranged side by side with their broad sides facing the oven interior, the strips being supported by interconnecting cross-bars 2 and spaced apart by spaced insulators 4 engaging their edges. The insulators 4 and the ceramic supporting hooks 3 are arranged in common channels. Adjacent insulators 4 may be interconnected by cross-bars 5.
