566,546. Metal grid resistances. WILLIAMS, E. T. Aug. 5, 1943, No. 12658. [Class 37] A grid resistance is formed from two selvedge ends 1 (only one shown) forming terminals and a set of parallel wires or strips 2 across which are laid a set of secondary wires 4, the intersections being joined by spot - welding. Alternate sections of the secondary wires are cut as shown by crosses to leave sets of secondary conductors which are mutually staggered. The cut sections may be completely removed or they may be left to assist in the dissipation of heat.
