Abstract
663,510. Corsets. RESISTA CORSET CO. Dec. 30, 1949 [Dec. 31, 1948], No. 33408/49. Class 141. The back section of a corset comprises an upper part 24 overlapping a lower part 23 at the waistline, the lower edge of the upper part being free except at its ends which are anchored at the side seams 25 in the region of the hipline, the upper concave edge of the lower part being free except at its ends which are anchored to the seams 25 above the waistline. The upper portion of the lower part 23 is provided with means, such as triangular elastic inserts 36 which are each stretchable in a direction parallel to its upper edge 37, to allow said upper portion to increase in length when it moves downwardly with certain movements of the wearer. The lower part 23 may have a lining 32 at its bottom edge. The garment may also comprise elastic side panels 16, brassiÞre sections 13, 17 and an inelastic front panel the central part of which is preferably lined. Specification 366,976 is referred to.
