Abstract
656,274. Corsets; stiffeners. LOBBENBERG, H., and TRUBENISED (GREAT BRITAIN), Ltd. July 23, 1948, No. 19751. [Class 141] A corset is provided in the front portion with vertical bones 13 which are spaced downwardly from the upper edge together with pieces of stiffening fabric 14 which extend downwardly from the extreme upper edge alongside and close to the upper parts of the bones. The stiffeners 14 may also extend round the upper ends of the bones, slots 15 being provided for the latter and may be formed of fused fabric. The stiffening members are preferably positioned between outer and inner fabric layers 11, 12 forming the front panel of the garment.
