[Also in Group XXXIII] An image of an instrument dial B is projected on to the inner surface of an aeroplane windscreen in such a position that the image will be visible to the pilot looking through the windscreen. A. lamp A projects a beam of light through the translucent dial B and a collimating lens C, on to the windscreen E to produce an image of the dial in the pilot's line of sight F, G. The image may be brought to an infinite focus.
