Abstract
662,292. Hand-tool handles. ROBINS, W. April 11, 1950 [June 22, 1949], No. 16582/49. Class 61 (i) In a holder for interchangeable blades or tool bits comprising a slotted part-conical clamping member 14, Fig. 2, having a screwed stem 15 which is received by a screwed recess 11 in the handle 10 and wherein a compressing collar 18 engages the part conical surface 17 of the clamping member 14 so as to tighten the clamping member 14 upon a tool blade when the handle 10 is screwed along the screwed stem 15, the handle 10 is provided with a detachable cap 20 forming a container for spare blades. As shown the handle 10 has a socket 12 to receive the shanks of the spare blades, the socket being of a size to prevent undue rattling of the spare blades and prevent their lateral cutting edges from tapping against the interior surface of the cap.
