662,011. Beams; floors. BRAUNBOCK, E. June 21, 1949 [June 21, 1948], No. 16465/49. Class 20(iv) A floor is formed from juxtaposed beams 1 each comprising a number of axially aligned moulded elements with highly tensioned steel elements 2 arranged outside and along the moulded elements and anchored to special end blocks which may be of concrete, reinforced concrete or steel. The tensioning.of the steel elements may be effected at the works and the beams transported to the site, or the tensioning may be carried out on the site. After assembly of the beams the steel elements are bonded thereto bv cement mortar or concrete being placd around the steel elements. When the bonding material has set, the tensioned steel elements may be severed from the end blocks and the latter removed to form end blocks in making another beam. Additional reinforcement 10 may be positioned between the beams before the bonding material 9 is placed. Specifications 541,835, 554,693 and 556,572 are referred to.
