[Also in Group X] Reinforced concrete structures are made by setting up a network 1 of parallel rods running obliquely criss-cross from one to the opposite side, anchoring the network at each bend 2 of the rods at one side 5 of the structure, applying tensional stresses to the rods at the bends 4 at the opposite side of the structure at right angles to the sides, and casting concrete on to the network thus prestressed. The invention may be applied to the casting of reinforced concrete pipes.
