603,695. Buildings. WETS, C. Oct. 29. 1945, No. 28550. Convention date. Nov. 3, 1944. [Class 20(iv)] In a building framework comprising concrete or like columns 1 and intersecting concrete or like beams 2 supported thereby, the columns are stressed by tie-rods 4 passing axially therethrough or through recesses in their faces and also through the beams at the points of intersection thereof with the columns whereby the joints between the columns and beams are also stressed and made indeformable by the same members as stress the columns. The beams may be. interconnected by tie bolts 11 eccentric to their axes.
