661,787. Doors. MOFFATS, Ltd. April 4, 1949. [April 20, 1948] No. 9108/49. Class 126. [Also in Group XXV] A drop-down oven-door 15, adapted to remain ajar for broiling and to be mounted close to an adjacent door 40, is pivoted to the outer end of an arm 29 which is supported on a vertically adjustable roller 27 and carries at its inner end a roller 31 which co-operates with a fixed cam slot 24. A spring 37, which is adapted to draw the arm inwardly, is connected by a link 38 to the pivoted-together ends of links 32 and 34 pivoted respectively to the fixed structure and the arm. In the closed position of the door a notch 29a in the arm engages the roller 27. Upon the door being opened, the outer end of the arm rises while a corner of the door slides along the front of the oven. To move the door from the position of equilibrium shown to the fully open or closed position a slight pull or push upon the door is necessary. The door may be unhooked from the arm, when the outer end of the latter may be retained outside the oven by a pin inserted through a hole 42 in the arm.
