Abstract
660179. Magnetic amplifiers. CZECHOSLOVAK METAL & ENGINEERING WORKS, NATIONAL CORPORATION, and VOTRUBA, K. July 2, 1949 [July 3, 1948], No. 17545/49. Class 40 (iv). A magnetic amplifier for A.C. comprises two similar coils M1, M2, whose primaries are in series aiding and secondaries in series opposition, the primaries being fed with the input A.C. VI in parallel with a D.C. supply Vs saturating the cores, and the secondaries are fed with an A.C. of higher frequency Vp, the resultant modulated secondary current being demodulated by rectifiers U1-U4 and applied to the load R2. The input A.C. is isolated from the D.C. by a tuned transformer T1, C1. The higher frequency A.C. component is removed from the output by a filter L, C2, C3.
