660,178. Gas turbine and jet propulsion plant. WESTINGHOUSE ELECTRIC INTERNATIONAL CO. June 24, 1949 [July 27, 1948], No. 16811/49. Drawings to Specification. Class 110(iii) [Also in Group XXVII] In an axial-flow gas turbine plant of the continuous combustion type, the ignition circuit includes a switch operated by a device responsive to the compressor delivery pressure so that the circuit is broken, in starting, when the air-pressure reaches a selected value and is remade whenever the air-pressure falls below that value, e.g. in operating at great altitudes or at low speeds. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 mentions the application of the ignition arrangement to athodyds. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
