[Classes 145(i) and 145(ii)] Feeding devices for machines such as planers, saws &c. comprise rotatable wheels having separate pneumatic tyres which are pressed against the work to feed it. As shown a wood planing machine is provided with feed wheels 5, 6 having separate pneumatic tyres and which are driven by a shaft 7 and gearing 9, 10 from a motor 11. The feed device is mounted on a vertical carriage 13 vertically adjustable by a handwheel 14 and horizontally adjustable by means of a carriage 15.
