658,134. Scaffold brackets. BURLING, A. J. May 17, 1949, No. 13082. [Class 20(ii)] A scaffold bracket used, for example, for roof repairs, comprises a board support 10 having a hinged arm 24 secured to a part of the building structure, e.g. a roof timber 25, an extensible strut 13 bearing on the wall of the building and an upright 18 to carry a toe-board 20 and guard rail 22. The lower end of the strut 13 is provided with a pivoted thrust plate 17 which may be holed to receive clips to tie the plate into the brick joints. The strut 13 may be formed of angle members as shown or of two telescopic tubes. The bracket may be used as window scaffolding by bolting the arm 24 to a timber extending across the window pane on the inside.
