Abstract

658,133. Smallarm magazines. SOC. ITALIANA E. BREDA PER COSTRUZIONI MECCANICHE. May 14, 1949, No. 12902. Convention date, May 28, 1948. [Class 119] To enlarge the capacity of the tubular magazine 10 of an automatic firearm an extension piece 4 containing a spring 5 and flanged disc 6 is provided, the extension piece being provided also wth means, such as a resilient ring 7, for preventing the disc from outward movement. The ring allows the magazine spring 2 to project through it, so that when the extension piece is in position the springs 2, 5 bear on either side of the disc 6. The ring 7 may be removed, when required, to insert or remove the spring 5. In a modification the ring 7 is dispensed with and the spring can bear at that end against an inwardly directed flange of the extension piece and at the other end against a removable cap.
