479,269. Shot - gun cartridges. SPENGLER, J. July 8, 1937, No. 18995. Convention date, July 16, 1936. [Class 9 (i)] The metal casing 4 of a shot - gun cartridge is provided near its outer end 3 with one or more internal annular grooves 5, 6, 7 into one of which a closing disc or washer 1 of thin resilient metal is adapted to fit. Each groove comprises a frusto-conical part 8 and a truly cylindrical part, whilst the washer is dished as shown so as to be of substantially frusto-conical form.
